When did your company become a member of YCF?

Why did you/your organisation decide to join YCF?

We believe it is important to support and promote our industry through regional and national trade associations relevant to our business, especially in the areas of legislation and regulatory affairs. I also had previous experience of being a YCF member and we felt that they would be able to help us develop and grow our business by providing opportunities to share best practice.

What’s been the main benefit to your organisation of being a YCF member?

The ability to connect with other local companies and exchange knowledge and experience. We are also able to use YCF events and meetings as development opportunities for colleagues within our business.

Who has been your favourite event speaker so far, and why?

My favourite event speaker was Siemens UK at the annual conference – we gained fascinating insight into the integration of digital technologies into manufacturing. It opened up our thinking as to how digital is changing industries and what it means for our business in the future.

What one piece of advice, that you’ve learnt or heard at a YCF networking event, would you give to other companies in your industry?

Networking is critical to your business and to you as an individual – there’s always something new to learn at an event, and this ultimately leads to new business generation. YCF events provide opportunities for you to develop your contacts.

Describe YCF in three words:

Informative, friendly and prompt
