What is it?
Currently all the rage, in shower moisturisers are a great way to save time as they moisturise the skin whilst bathing.
How does it work?
In shower moisturisers combine the foaming and cleansing ingredients commonly found in shower gels with the oils and skin conditioning agents found in traditional moisturisers.
What you end up with is a product that looks like hair conditioner or lotion but that lathers when applied to the skin whilst showering.
How is it made?
It's actually not that difficult. The basic formulation relies on an anionic surfactant called Tego Sulfosuccinate DO75. This is used in conjunction with other surfactants like cocamidopropyl betaine (Surfac B4 or Tego Betain F50) and natural oils like sunflower oil which give the skin conditioning effect.
